You have LOCAL access to seminars, trainings, and networking right withing your own geographical area. It can take more than four hours to drive diagonally across the state – From Beecher Falls to Bennington – the creation of VSHC Chapters helps employers manage travel cost for company members wishing to attend VSHC events who may not be able to drive long distances to get there.
Each Chapter is governed by a Steering Committee and a Committee Chairperson. The Steering Committees typically meet quarterly and create training events and seminars dependent on input from area businesses. This allows the committees to customize member needs locally. Committee actively engage state government representatives.
Northwest Chapter – covering St. Albans and Franklin County area
Northeast Kingdom Chapter – covering Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans Counties
Rutland Area Chapter – covering Rutland, and parts of Addison and Bennington Counties
Bennington County Chapter – on Sabbatical – Looking for local members to restart chapter.
Southern Vermont Chapter – Covering Brattleboro, Windham and parts of Windsor Counties.
The chapter are NOT geographically strict, and some areas may overlap. Our focus is helping members with safety and health issues, seminars, trainings, and other events. Each Chapter supports events that may be attended by anyone, members and non-members alike, no matter if they belong to a chapter or just are interested in a particular event. Most events for VSHC members are FREE with membership; non-members are charged a nominal fee to attend, generally $25.00.
